With over 10 years of experience, my career is defined by a triple role that integrates academia, consulting, and educational innovation.
My research and professor role at the School of Mathematics and CIMPA at the University of Costa Rica focuses on research in machine learning, statistics and related fields. I have trained over 20 students who now work as data analysts in the industry.
The consulting role has allowed me to lead high-impact projects, such as the validation of risk models for the Banco Nacional de Costa Rica and the actuarial analysis for the UCR salary reform, impacting more than 6,000 university employees. Currently I am working with the OBDI (Observatorio de Datos Institucionales) to support data-driven decision making in the university.
Finally, as an entrepreneur, I founded STATO PRO, an online academy for advanced data science that aims to close the gap between university training and the demands of the technology industry in Latin America.
